Cats are amazing creatures that are always full of surprises. Musya, for one, did not only surprise her owner but also an entire team of veterinarians. She shocked all of them when she was discovered nursing her babies. The animal was a beloved feline resident of the Sadgorod Zoo. She turned a year old and had always been a strange cat. However, she fell pregnant all of a sudden. Everyone in the area wanted to ensure that she felt safe before it was time to give birth!

Even though she waddled around the zoo, she was never alone. The staff could not help but feel anxious when they realized that Musya was missing. In the zoo, there were geese, chickens, and raccoons. Aside from those, they also had lions, monkeys, bears, tigers, and others… The bigger animals might put the cat in danger! This was the reason they launched a search for the missing feline.

The truth was that Musya was different from the other animals in the zoo. She became its resident by mistake! A zookeeper called Alice found her while on the job. On a cold winter day, she noticed a black thing moving in the snow. It was clear that this was not just a pile of dirt. The tiny black kitty was nearly frozen! There were icicles on her nose, and she barely moved. Alice took her to the vets at the zoo.

After two days, Musya went home. She alerted the staff of her presence by pawing at the door. Alice let out a cry of relief after seeing that the cat was safe and sound. She started to wonder if it was time to look for a home for the cat. It was too hard to say goodbye, however, so Musya ended up staying there!

A couple of weeks after her return, they started to notice a change in Musya. They found it odd that she was so lethargic and cranky. Before she left the room, she was always playful and sweet. All of a sudden, the cat did not even want to head outside the room when the door was opened. What was going on?

It felt like she returned a completely different cat. When she went out of the room, she would simply lie down on the floor. They knew that something changed. Alice noticed the difference in her behavior right away, but she had no idea what was going on. It felt like Musya was ‘broken.’ She suddenly lost any interest in the outside world. At the time, everyone was at a loss. The real reason took them by surprise!

There were also cars and parking spaces outside of the premises of the zoo. It did not sound likely that Musya could have gone anywhere else. Alice thought that she was definitely at the zoo. All of a sudden, she heard something. There was a wooden area past the lion cage. The cry seemed to have come from a bush there. Alice pointed her flashlight at the spot. To her relief, she saw the cat over there!

In the bush, Musya was sitting peacefully. The most shocking part was that she was not by herself! There was something crawling on her chest. Upon taking a closer look, she was shocked by what she saw. She found four kittens there with her! However, it turns out that the biggest surprise was yet to come.

Needless to say, they were all shocked by the sight of the kittens. But what made them gasp was that there was something else crawling up her chest. They were unable to keep their surprise at bay when they saw the baby hedgehogs there. There was no way that they could simply leave them in that spot.

One of them returned to the building to grab a blanket and a box. This way, they could bring all the animals away from harm’s way. Alice picked up the creatures one by one and put them in the container. The plan was to take them all to the vet. As you can imagine, they had a lot of questions at the time.

She took Musya and all the babies to the vet. After taking a look at them, the vet frowned a bit and then let out a burst of laughter. He said, “I’ve never seen anything like this.” He then started to take a look at the animals. After separating the kittens and the hedgehogs, he left the room to discuss it with Alice.

But as soon as Musya was alone with the babies, she undid his hard work. She took the kittens from one box and then moved them all to the one with the hedgehogs! The mama cat rested with all of them, letting the babies drink her milk and stay close for heat. Alice returned to this lovely sight.

It was clear that Musya wanted to mother the eight hedgehog babies. While Alice was amazed, she did not think it was a good idea. After all, the kittens might get hurt from the pricks of their siblings from another species. She split them up again, but the hedgehogs refused her attempt to bottle feed them.

While Alice knew that it was not a good idea to keep the animals together, Mustya wanted to take care of all the babies. Not long after this, Alice finally learned where the hedgehogs came from. Their mom probably got into an accident within the zoo. She recalled a particular incident with the lawnmower.

The hedgehogs must have been on their own for a couple of days until Musya saw them. The babies were probably starving before the cat took them in as her own children. No one knew if she did this before or after giving birth to the kittens. What was next for this odd little family?

So, as soon they received this particular call, they immediately sent out a team to the site. That’s where they were tasked to rescue eight little puppies and get them to safety. And the brave firefighters were about to find out a big secret that they did not expect. When faced with danger, different animals act differently, some of which become aggressive, making it hard to handle them. Which is why firefighters follow a set of rules that keeps them and the animals safe.

Because they did not know what animal they were dealing with, the firefighters had to be even more cautious, since regardless of what would happen, their safety will always be the number one priority.

In order to get to the bottom of the storm grate, the firemen started by working together to raise the storm grate. Upon opening, they heard the cries of the poor animals and quickly realized that they were dealing with babies. They were dumbfounded! How did the babies even get there?

The firefighters were confused as to why the mother was not with the babies. It was completely illogical for the babies to be there in the first place, it would have made some sense if they were in the wild, but that was not the case.

Before they could carry on with the rescue, the firemen had to figure out the layout of sewer first. It is possible that the mother and father of the animals were there but got spooked upon the arrival of the firefighters. They have yet to figure out what animals they were rescuing.

The sewer was filthy and was mostly filled with garbage, it was heart-wrenching to see the animals cold and have no access to food. It was a miracle that the animals were still alive! The team was uncertain if the animals would be alright, but the least they can do is try.
